Liminal VALUE, 2016

Concrete, various mats, paper, aluminum, ceramic, microfiber cloth.

In the installation Liminal VALUE, imagery and material from the scene of Ayrton Senna's deadly crash in '94, are extracted to create notions of value that lie between life and death. Miniature podiums bear ghostly markings as their substantial weight in concrete is reminiscent of a tombstone. Care is made to support them and accompanying objects emphasize their transitional nature. Value is explored physically and existentially.
